JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for end-to-end accounts payable and intercompany processes in SAP, inventory and fixed asset reporting, monthly tax compliance, and preparation of key financial reports, while driving process improvements, supporting audits, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance overall financial operations.

 

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Accounting

  • Take full ownership of end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, MIRO posting, vendor reconciliation, and ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions in SAP.
  • Process and manage both local and international payments, ensuring compliance with payment terms, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Record and maintain fixed asset data, including asset additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation runs; ensure the FA register is accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare and review all tax-related transactions and reports, ensuring accurate and timely submission of VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations, while proactively addressing compliance risks and coordinating with relevant authorities as needed.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, including booking entries, performing revaluations in SAP, and reconciling intercompany balances.
  • Execute month-end closing activities, including posting journal entries, accruals, and adjustments; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Liaise directly with suppliers, banks, and tax authorities, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong external relationships.
  • Actively contributes to process improvements, workflow automation, and the implementation of financial best practices.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation, and ensuring adherence to compliance and audit standards.
  • Assist with strategic finance initiatives and ad hoc tasks, contributing to broader business performance and operational efficiency.
 

Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze AP aging reports, identifying trends, overdue balances, and supporting proactive vendor management and cash planning.
  • Generate and review monthly inventory reports, ensuring accuracy of inventory valuation and alignment with operational and financial data while also monitoring perishable and obsolete inventory to provide insights and record appropriate provisions or write-offs in line with company policy and accounting standards.
  • Develop and update monthly cash flow forecasts, integrating payment schedules, inventory needs, and expected receivables to support liquidity management and decision-making.
 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Holds a degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience in auditing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly proactive with strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Possesses a growth mindset.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
