Short Description

Motul’s APAC digital marketing team is seeking a strategic and creative Digital Content Strategist to lead the planning and production of digital content that drives brand awareness, engagement, and conversion across the region. This role is responsible for developing data-informed content strategies and executing compelling digital-first campaigns across web, social media, and paid channels. A strong focus will be placed on creating short-form video content tailored for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Based in Bangkok, Thailand and reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing APAC, the role will collaborate with stakeholders across 16 MAP markets, supporting brand transformation initiatives, product launches, and content localisation.

Responsibilities

CONTENT STRATEGY & PLANNING

  • Build and manage a multi-market digital content calendar that aligns with campaign objectives and product launches.
  • Develop localised content guidelines and briefs for regional adaptation across APAC markets.
  • Conduct content audits and gap analysis to inform future planning.

 

CONTENT CREATION (SHORT-FORM & STATIC)

  • Lead the production of short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Create high-impact visuals and copy for social and digital platforms.
  • Write SEO-optimised website content, email copy, and product storytelling narratives.
  • Potential to manage a small team of freelance copy-writers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, product managers and HR, to align content with overall brand strategy, corporate communications and employer branding.
  • Engage with audience feedback and analytics to refine content strategies, driving higher engagement and storytelling impact.

 

PERFORMANCE OPTIMISATION

  • Use platform analytics to track content performance and iterate based on data-driven insights.
  • Implement best practices for SEO, SEM and content personalisation across the funnel.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to A/B test creative and messaging variations.

 

STAKEHOLDERS COLLABORATION

  • Work closely with the Brand & Comms and Product teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
  • Align with local market leads to gather insights and ensure regional relevance of content.
  • Manage agency partners and freelancers to deliver high-quality, on-brand assets.

 

CAMPAIGN & PROJECT SUPPORT

  • Support APAC-wide digital activations, regional product campaigns, and influencer collaborations.
  • Assist with internal communication content and employer branding initiatives.

Educational Qualifications/Certifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Film Production, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in digital content strategy and production
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video creation for digital platforms
  • Proficient in image/video editing software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar industry tools
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, social media algorithms, and digital best practices
  • Proven ability to localise content across multiple markets
  • Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in another APAC language is a plus
  • Able to travel regionally across APAC when required

 

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT
Applicants must provide a portfolio showcasing examples of short-form video and digital content projects across social and web platforms.
